This guide is migrated from the Technical Requirements on the former IQ® Platform Help and is being revised and updated to support requirements for the Operations IQ® Platform moving forward.

Introduction

About this Guide

The Technical Requirements Guide for the Operations IQ® Platform and Cloud-Hosted Solutions explains:

  • Where (missing or bad snippet) web services are installed.

  • Test system requirement.

  • Web browser requirements.

  • Supported mobile device operating systems on the TeleTracking IQ platform and for cloud-hosted Capacity Management suite.

  • Networking requirements.

  • Platform-to-client authentication methods.

  • Compatibility between the TeleTracking IQ® platform and other TeleTracking products.

About the Operations IQ® Platform

The Operations IQ® Platform is our premier cloud solution. It integrates with our current suite of TeleTracking Technologies Inc. ("TeleTracking") patient flow solutions. The Operations IQ® Platform provides single-sign-on access and a single point-of-entry for applications such as the Referral IQ®, Transfer IQ®, Workflow IQ®, Capacity IQ®, Data IQ®, and Location IQ®. Additionally, the Capacity Management Suite® solution and Clinical Workflow™ suite can be enabled through the Operations IQ® Platform and be accessed through common navigation. This is called TeleTracking IQ-enabled.

What is the Difference between TeleTracking IQ-Enabled and Cloud-Hosted Solutions?

Cloud-hosted and TeleTracking IQ-enabled are NOT mutually exclusive.

TeleTracking IQ-Enabled: TeleTracking IQ-enabled means that the Capacity Management Suite® or Clinical Workflow® Suite is accessed through the platform and has single sign-on, single entry point, and common navigation with other IQ® Platform applications such as the Referral IQ®

Cloud-Hosted Solutions: Cloud-hosted Capacity Management Suite® or Clinical Workflow® Suite means that most components are installed in the cloud and hosted by TeleTracking rather than being installed on-premise. To facilitate data transfer, some components still must be installed on-premise.

Your organization may have chosen a Capacity Management Suite or Clinical Workflow Suite deployment option that is:

  • Either TeleTracking IQ-enabled or cloud-hosted

  • Both

  • Neither

Capacity Management Suite® Deployment Options

Cloud-Hosted (But Not Operations IQ® Enabled)

Most Capacity Management Suite® components are installed in the cloud and hosted by TeleTracking. Some components, such as iNTERFACEWARE® Iguana®, still must be installed on-premise. The navigation is similar to navigation in earlier versions of the Capacity Management Suite and there is no single sign-on or entry point or common navigation with other Operations IQ® Platform applications.

Ports 2195 and 2196 are not required for the Capacity Management Suite v2018.2.5.3 and later.

Cloud-Hosted Operations IQ® Enabled

Most Capacity Management Suite components are installed in the cloud and hosted by TeleTracking. Some components, such as iNTERFACEWARE® Iguana®, still must be installed on-premise. There is a single sign-on entry point and common navigation with other Operations IQ® Platform applications.

On-Premise (But Not Operations IQ® Enabled)

All components are installed on-premise and managed by your organization. If your organization will use this option, see the documents Microsoft SQL Server Recommendations for TeleTracking Solutions plus one of the following for system requirements and other technical information:

  • Capacity Management Suite Technical Information Reference Guide

  • Capacity Management Suite Technical Information Reference Guide - IVR

On-Premise Operations IQ® Enabled

Most components are installed on-premise. Some are installed both on-premise and in the cloud. If your organization will use this option, see this guide and Microsoft SQL Server Recommendations for TeleTracking Solutions and one of the following for system requirements and other technical information:

Some Important Differences Between Cloud-Hosted and On-Premise Solutions

In addition to the differences in location of installed components, in upgrade processes, and in maintenance responsibilities, the following are important differences between cloud-hosted and on-premise solutions.

  • Only the SMTP (email) paging service is supported in cloud-hosted Capacity Management suite.

  • If the cloud-hosted Capacity Management suite is integrated with TeleTracking Real-Time Locating System® solutions and/or the Clinical Workflow™ suite, then those products must be cloud-hosted also.

  • Cloud-hosted Capacity Management suite does not support:

  • Integration with third-party staffing systems.

  • Census-Based Scheduling.

  • Integration with the on-premise TransferCenter application.

On-Premise Server Requirements

Third Party Hardware Requirements

For on-premise server requirements, please review the Technical Information Reference Guides for all products that are integrated with the Operations IQ® Platform. In addition, please review the document Microsoft® SQL Recommendations for TeleTracking Solutions.

Test System Requirement

A test system that TeleTracking can use to verify TeleTracking products and to verify connectivity between the client organization and TeleTracking software is required. The test system must be used before the Operations IQ® Platform. is deployed to the client organization's production system. This is part of preparing your organization to use the Operations IQ® Platform.

Cloud-Hosted Capacity Management Suite® Solution Requirements

When the Capacity Management Suite® solution is cloud-hosted, some components still must be installed on-premise to facilitate data transfer. Some of the components that must be on-premise are listed in the table below.

Public IP Address, SSL Certifications, Whitelisting, and Apple® Push Service

Review the following information with TeleTracking when setting up networking.

Whitelisting

To provide optimal performance, TeleTracking recommends excluding the following addresses from firewall restrictions, content filtering, web proxies, SSL encrypt/decrypt, and packet or threat-management inspection.

Email/Website Domains:

TeleTracking.app

*.TeleTracking.app

*.cl-teletracking.com

*.auth0.com

*.id-teletracking.com (this will allow our engineers to log in when on site, for training, etc...)

*.intercom.io

IP Address Range Used by the Apple® Push Service

The IP address range for the Apple Push Service is subject to change. TeleTracking expects providers to connect by hostname rather than by IP address. The push service uses a load-balancing scheme that yields a different IP address for the same hostname. However, the entire 17.0.0.0/8 address block is assigned to Apple. Therefore, you can specify that range in your firewall rules.

Platform-to-Client Authentication Methods

Method

Description

Requirements

Active Directory® Federation Services (ADFS) URL

Active Directory® Federation Services (ADFS) is set up from the client organization's on-premise Active Directory service.

The ADFS URL must be publicly available to TeleTracking IQ® platform resources before deployment.

For the TeleTracking IQ platform, the ADFS Global Authentication Policy must be set to Forms Authentication for both Extranet and Intranet.

No client Active Directory/ADFS

Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) is set up in Microsoft® Azure®with no client Active Directory (AD)/ADFS.

The client organization does not need any ADFS/AD components. TeleTracking hosts the ADFS/AD.

Cloud-Hosted or Operations IQ® Enabled Capacity Management Suite® Solution-Specific Requirements

Requirements

The following requirements apply specifically to the Capacity Management Suite® solution if it is cloud-hosted or TeleTracking IQ-enabled:

  • SSL — Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is required for cloud-hosted and Operations IQ® enabled (even on-premise and Operations IQ® enabled) Capacity Management Suite. Clients must supply a valid SSL certificate. Trusted self-signed or third-party (Verisign) certificates are valid. Test certificates are not considered valid.

  • SMTP Paging Service — If the Capacity Management Suite is cloud-hosted, SMTP (email) is the only supported paging service.

  • Microsoft® Windows Server — Only the following versions of Windows Server are supported:

  • Windows Server 2008 R2

  • Windows Server 2012
