Where you can find this feature: Admissions functionality is integrated into the ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) System.
How Admissions to Nursing Units Work
Functionality
Admissions to Nursing Units follow a standardized process:
Requesting Area creates a bed request.
Patient Placement targets the most appropriate unit based on the information provided in the request.
Requesting Area activates the Ready to Move (RTM) Timer.
Patient Placement provides a bed assignment to both the Requesting and Receiving Units.
Requesting Area and Receiving Unit coordinate the report and movement of the patient to the assigned bed.
The patient occupies the assigned bed in the ADT System, closing out the bed request.
