Data-driven Alerts
Definition
Unlike subscriptions, which are delivered on a scheduled basis, data-driven alerts are delivered when key thresholds are reached. The data and the threshold value that trigger the alert are specified when the alert is created. Data driven alerts are limited to one alert per hour, per instance of an alert.
Example: If a threshold value for a report is "5" and it reaches 5, an alert is generated. But, if the value drops to 4, then goes back up to 5 within 30 minutes, no new alerts are generated.
