This article will lay out the requirements for automatic transport job creation.

About

The criteria needed to have a transport job be created automatically are as follows:

  • patient must have current location

  • patient must be marked RTM

  • patient must have an assigned CLEAN bed

  • patient's origin and destination must be in the list of origins and destinations specified in the automatic transport job settings.

Note

These settings are found under Admin Tool>Enterprise Management>Enterprise Information>Campus>Global Settings>TransportTracking>Automatic Transport Job Settings

Example

Dr. Phish has a patient in the ER going to 4E. The patient's current location of ER1 is in the included origin units. The patient's assigned bed in the 4E unit is in the included destinations. Dr. Phish then assigns the CLEAN bed of 4E Room 1 Bed 1 at 5:00 P.M., and marks them RTM at 5:05 P.M.

If you look at the transport job audit, this job will have the SAME TIMESTAMP of when Dr. Phish listed the patient as RTM, and Dr. Phish will be listed as the requestor. On the activity detail by job number report, "RTM_AUTO" will be listed as the requestor, since Dr. Phish marked the patient RTM, thus fulfilling the final criteria needed for automatic job creation.
