Override Zone
Override Zones are used to create exclusive override zones and item transporters within the Capacity IQ® application. This feature is utilized by administrators to manage and configure specific zones and transporters for efficient item tracking and management. It is typically used when there is a need to designate exclusive areas for item overrides and assign transporters to these zones.

How Override Zones Work
Functionality
Override Zones are configured using the Admin Tool. The workflows below outlines how to create and configure Exclusive Item Override Zones and Exclusive Item Transporters in Capacity IQ®.
Workflows
Create and Configure Exclusive Item Override Zones and Exclusive Item Transporters
Creating a new Section:
Navigate to Admin Tool > Unit / Zone / Location Management > Sections and Zones > TransportTracking > Add Section.
Fill out the Section name and IVR ID.
Save.
Creating a new Zone:
Navigate to Admin Tool > Unit / Zone / Location Management > Sections and Zones > TransportTracking > Zones > Add Zone.
Fill out the Zone name, IVR ID, Parent Section, check the boxes for Item override zone and Exclusive zone, and save.
Creating a new item type:
Navigate to Admin > Settings > Capacity Management > Dictionary Management > Item Type > Add Item Type.
Fill out the Item information, select the newly created Item override zone in the Override zone dropdown, and save.
Creating a Transporter:
Navigate to Admin Tool > User Management > Select an existing Transporter > Select “Copy”.
Fill out the missing information.
Verify their Membership is set correctly to the campus by scrolling down to the bottom of the user profile page.
Under the TransportTracking Assignment tab, set their Assignment type to Fixed and Exclusive.
Select Add
Check the box for the Item Override Zone.
Select Add again and close the “Select Sections and Zones”.
Save.
While on the User Profile tab, select the User Notifications tab and enable Paging Device in the Notifications section, and then save.
Activating the profile:
Log in and out as the user in the Capacity IQ® application to activate their profile.
