Overview

If you're missing application tabs within the TeleTracking platform — such as Home, BedTracking®, PreAdmitTracking®, or PatientTracking Portal® — the issue may stem from permissions, browser configuration, or account status. This article outlines the steps to diagnose and resolve these issues.

Common Causes

  • User permissions are not correctly assigned

  • Browser cache or cookies are interfering

  • Browser configuration settings (especially Chrome v113+ and Edge)

  • New accounts are missing default application roles

  • CMS account is deactivated

  • Platform compatibility issues (e.g., Chrome version 113+)

Step-by-Step Solutions

Check User Permissions

Ensure that the user has the appropriate roles and permissions:

  • Contact your Help Desk or supervisor to verify your assigned roles.

  • Compare roles with a colleague who has access to the missing tabs.

  • If you are missing tabs within the Console, open Console Settings, and ensure the Tabbed View row is set to Enabled. If it says Disabled, click to enable it.

Verify CMS Account Status

A disabled CMS account may limit access:

  • If your IQ account is disabled, you will not be able to log in.

  • If IQ is enabled but CMS is disabled, only the Admin tab will be visible.

  • Ask your internal admin or Help Desk to confirm and reactivate the account if needed.

Try a Different Workstation or Browser

Log in from a different computer or use an alternate browser (e.g., Google Chrome™ or Microsoft Edge®) to isolate whether the issue is local to your current setup.

Browser Fixes

Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

In Google Chrome™:

  1. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the upper-right corner.

  2. Go to More tools > Clear browsing data.

  3. Select a Time range (start with Last 24 hours or choose All time).

  4. Check the boxes for:

    • Cookies and other site data

    • Cached images and files

  5. Click Clear data.

Keyboard shortcut: Press CTRL + Shift + Delete to open the Clear Browsing Data window directly.

In Microsoft Edge®:

Follow the same steps using the Edge settings menu.

Adjust Experimental Browser Flags

Browser updates may introduce features that interfere with TeleTracking’s tab rendering.

For Microsoft Edge®:

  1. Type edge://flags/#third-party-storage-partitioning in the address bar.

  2. Set Third-party Storage Partitioning to Disabled.

  3. Relaunch the browser.

For Google Chrome™:

  1. Type chrome://flags/#third-party-storage-partitioning in the address bar.

  2. Set Experimental third-party storage partitioning to Disabled.

  3. Relaunch the browser.

Note: IT administrators can enforce these settings organization-wide via group policy. Refer to your enterprise browser policy documentation for details.

Additional Steps

Log Out Properly

Always log out using the application’s Logout button. Do not close the window using the red X, as that may leave your session active.

  • After logging out, press F5 to refresh your browser.

  • Open a new browser window and log back in.

Check the TeleTracking Status Page

Before further troubleshooting, visit the TeleTracking Status Page to see if there is a known outage or platform issue.

New Account Reminder

New accounts are created with default permissions, which may exclude necessary applications. If you're missing tabs after your account is created:

  • Inform your Help Desk about the specific applications you need.

  • Reference a colleague whose access is working properly to assist with role comparison.

Known Issue: Chrome v113+

A known issue (OP-8932) affects customers using Google Chrome™ v113 or later. Tabs in the Capacity Management Suite® may not display when accessed through the IQ® platform.

  • Apply the browser fixes above to resolve this.

Need Help?

If none of the above steps resolve the issue:

  • Contact your IT Help Desk with:

    • Your username

    • A screenshot of what you're seeing

    • A reference to a colleague with correct access
