Overview

This article provides background information about how Standard Lane and Fast Lane data sources differ, and how to interpret the folder types assigned to data points in the TeleTracking® Help Center.

Standard Lane Data Sources

Standard Lane data is available in two formats:

Full Historical

  • Includes: All historical data

  • Latency: 45–90 minutes

  • Used For: Reports requiring full historical context (e.g., Transfer IQ®)

  • Exceptions:

    • Care Progression Indicators, Discharge Milestones, Transporter Employee Performance, and Care Progression Indicators Detail

    • These have a 3-hour latency to support Capacity IQ® historical updates

Data Source Extracts

  • Includes: Data from the past two years through the previous day

  • Latency: N/A (static daily refresh)

  • Used For: Interactive reports and content needing faster load times

  • Note: Data points match the Full Historical version

These data sources are used in standard reports and contain all available data points for each source.

Folder Types in Standard Lane

  • Root
Fields that come directly from the data source. All are available in the Data IQ® Warehouse Connector.

  • Custom Calculations / Adjustable Custom Calculations
Tableau-built fields for filtering, highlighting thresholds, or extracting specific values for standard content.

  • System Calculations
Backend-only fields used in system processing or monitoring; not intended for client-facing use.

  • Discharge Compliance
Specialized Tableau calculations for time-bound discharge measures, primarily used in standard content.

Fast Lane Data Sources

Fast Lane data is designed for real-time monitoring.

Data Snapshot

  • Includes: Most recent 24 hours of data

  • Latency: 5 minutes

  • Used For: Command Center Dashboards and real-time operational decision-making

These sources prioritize speed and recency over historical depth.

Folder Types in Fast Lane

  • Root
Fields pulled directly from the real-time data source.

  • Custom Calculations
Tableau-built fields used for filtering, thresholds, or specialized field logic in standard dashboards.

  • System Calculations
Internal fields for system monitoring or data processing; not client-facing.
