About

You have a patient displaying as discharged when the patient is physically in the bed. The board display shows a new patient in the bed and they aren’t admitted yet.

Solution

  • Move the current incorrect patient in the bed to any clean/available bed.

  • Once the patient is moved you will need to manually clean the bed the patient was just moved from.

  • You can pull up the patient that was accidentally discharged through the patient/placement details. Under the Patient Action section from the dropdown select Reoccupy Patient.

  • If you don’t have access to the patient placement details, you can pull up the bed now that it shows clean, and select Clean.

  • This will give you the option to Reoccupy Patient.

  • This will place your discharged patient back into their original bed.

Note: Update your Admitting department in regards to the patient you moved to the new bed. They can ensure the interface is current with the updated records.

  • If they are not updated, the next transaction they push through will overwrite everything done manually.
