Item Types

Item Types are a grouping of information about a specific article (item) that can be transported from one location to another and for which a transport request can be created. This feature is used by administrators to manage and track items efficiently.

Where you can find this feature: Admin > Settings > Capacity Management > Miscellaneous > Dictionary Management.

How Item Types Work

  • Global Admin Permissions-Administrative Controls-Item Type permission: Required to complete this task.

  • Edit rights: Required to change information.

  • View rights: Allows users to see, but not change, information.
