Employees Tab

The Employees Tab is used by administrators and managers to access and manage employee information within the Capacity IQ® EVS Application. This feature allows users to view and interact with employee data, generate reports, and manage employee statuses. It is used whenever there is a need to access detailed employee information or perform administrative tasks related to employees.

Where you can find this feature: Capacity IQ® EVS Application, Care Support > BedTracking® > Employees tab.

How Employees Tab Works

Functionality

The Employees Tab provides various functionalities, including:

  • Changing the Area (First Column): You can change the area shown in the first column for the entire column or for an individual row. This allows you to display different types of areas such as buildings, floors, or zones.

    • To change the display for all rows: Click the arrow next to the heading of the first column and select another type of area.

    • To change the display for an individual row: Click the arrow next to the name of the area and select another type of area.

  • Viewing the Number of Employees Per Status for an Area: You can view the number of employees in each status (e.g., Available, Break, Lunch) for a specific area.

    • The number appears in the cell that corresponds to the area shown in the first column and the status shown at the top.

  • Employee Dashboard Column Descriptions: The first column displays the area where employees have membership (e.g., campus, building, floor, zone). The remaining columns display the number of employees in various statuses such as In Progress, Available, Break, Lunch, Logged In, and Logged Out.

Workflows

Accessing the Employee Dashboard

To access the Employee Dashboard, you need the "Access Employee Dashboard" permission. You can access it by:

  • Clicking the Employees tab.

  • Going to Capacity IQ® EVS > Employee Dashboard.

  • Going to Care Support > BedTracking® > Employees tab.

  • If your health system has multiple instances, go to Care Support > BedTracking® > Employees tab.

Changing the Area (First Column)

  1. To change the display for all rows in the first column:

    • Click the arrow next to the heading of the first column (e.g., Campus).

    • Select another type of area (e.g., Building, Floor, Zone).

  2. To change the display for an individual row in the first column:

    • Click the arrow next to the name of the area (e.g., the name of the campus).

    • Select another type of area (e.g., Building, Floor, Zone).

Viewing the Number of Employees Per Status for an Area

  1. Identify the area shown in the first column.

  2. View the number in the cell that corresponds to the area and the status shown at the top.

Accessing EVS Employee Information

  1. Ensure you have the necessary permissions.

  2. Navigate to the Employee Dashboard using one of the provided methods.

  3. View and interact with the employee information as needed.
