Discharge Wait Time Report Description

Purpose

The Discharge Wait Time Report displays the number of minutes that patients waited for transporters to pick them up to be discharged (from the time the transport job status became Pending until the status became In Progress). The data includes:

  • Time the transport job to discharge the patient entered Pending status. (Called)

  • The time that the transport job entered In Progress status. (Picked Up)

  • The number of minutes that the patient waited from the start of Pending to the start of In Progress status.

  • The total number of completed transport jobs (trips) that meet the selected criteria and have destinations that are discharge locations.

  • The average duration of time from Pending status to In Progress status for completed discharge transport jobs that meet the selected criteria.

  • The standard deviation of time from Pending status to In Progress status for completed discharge transport jobs that meet the selected criteria.

Description

Only data related to transport jobs with origins and/or destinations within the membership of the user who generated the report appears.

Only transport jobs that meet the criteria selected when the report was generated appear on the report.

The criteria that were selected when the report was generated (such as destination and origin locations) appear on the report.

Only transport jobs with destinations that are discharge locations that are currently in a status of Completed are included on the report.

Note: Dates and times appear in the format configured in the Admin Tool component or in Admin > Settings > Capacity Management. For example, dates might appear in dd/mm/yyyy format (07/05/2016 is May 7, 2016) and times might appear in twenty-four-hour format (16:00 is 4 PM).

The following information is displayed on the report.

Name

Description

Job ID

The identification code of the transport job. The report displays only completed transport jobs to discharge locations that have origins or destinations that are within the membership of the person who generated the report.

Patient Name

The patient being transported.

Called

The time that the transport job's status became Pending.

Picked Up

The time that the transport job's status became In Progress.

Wait Time

Duration of time between Pending status and In Progress status.

Trips

The total number of completed transport jobs (trips) that meet the selected criteria and have destinations that are discharge locations. Trip totals are displayed for each destination and for all destinations included in the report.

Avg Minutes to Pickup

Average number of minutes from Pending to In Progress status for each destination and for all destinations included in the report.

Std Dev

Standard deviation of minutes from Pending to In Progress status for each destination and for all destinations included in the report.
