About

In Capacity IQ® EVS, the dispatch logic is separated into three groups to determine which EVS employee is the best fit for a particular job.

Solution

Group 1

  • Employees who are in “Available” status & who have not been paged or not have last paged time info will appear at the top. This group is sorted based on Available time.

Group 2

  • Employees who are in “In Progress” status & have not been paged appear in Group 2. This group is sorted by how long they are in the In Progress state.

Group 3

  • Available or In Progress Employees who were paged & have last paged time information. This group will be sorted by their last paged time.

Note:

  • Group 1, Group 2, & Group 3 appear strictly in that order.

  • The dispatch algorithm starts from the beginning & finds the best employee whose assignment matches with the zone of the job. The employee match can happen starting from Group 1 & moving all the way down.

    • This is not exactly “round robin” style paging but should be a fair way to distribute notifications to all logged in employees in a zone and/or section.
