Info
The purpose of this page is to provide as much information as possible in regards to user logouts, idle and session timeouts.
Inactivity Timeout
The Platform idle timeout is configured in the Admin Tool < Platform Settings
The inactivity timeout will occur and log the user out of the platform if the user is inactive for longer than the Inactivity Timeout (minutes) setting.
A warning will pop up 5 minutes before this logout occurs
Does This Affect Capacity IQ®/Capacity Management Suite®?
The Capacity IQ®/Capacity Management Suite® Idle timeout is controlled by the Platform.
The Capacity IQ®/Capacity Management Suite® Master Config setting → User Inactivity Logout time (minutes) does not have any affect on the session when Capacity IQ®/Capacity Management Suite® is fully integrated with the platform
There is one exception to this rule, which is the role configured for no inactivity timeout.
This is a special role configured for whiteboard users so that they can stay logged in indefinitely.
If a user logs in with the whiteboard role, they will not be logged out once the Platform idle timeout occurs.
Group Specific Logout Settings
You will notice that each Security Group still has an inactivity timeout setting as seen in the image below.
The setting to enable the group timeout period to take affect has been removed from master configuration when fully IQ integrated.
Note that the Single Sign-on Option and Session Timeout (minutes) option are also both missing when Capacity IQ®/Capacity Management Suite® is fully Operations IQ® Platform integrated.
