Info

  • Patient Name

    • If you have the View Patient Diagnosis and Name permission, you may view the patient's name in the Patient Name column in the Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application application and Patient Tracking Portal® application.

    • If an alias was entered and the Confidentiality check box was selected on the Patient/Placement Details form, then the alias appears instead of the patient's name.

    • A gray background indicates that since the patient's admission, a predefined number of minutes has passed without an activated placement for the patient and the patient is considered "unactivated."

    • A yellow background indicates that there is a conflict with the patient's placement. Conflicts can occur because of changes in requested dates, expected dates of discharge, assigned locations, occupying patient home locations, or patient statuses.

    • In addition, when the Hospital Number in an ADT transaction cannot be compared to the one on the Patient/Placement Details form, variations in the patient’s name (for example, Joe versus Joseph) can result in duplicate placement records. .

  • Patient Type

    • Your organization might have defined patient types in the Admin Tool or Admin > Settings > Capacity Management component to categorize patients.

    • Example:

      • There might be a patient type called A (for Adult) or I (for Infant). The Patient Type column in the Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application application and Patient Tracking Portal application displays the patient type.
