Custom Views

Custom Views allow users to personalize the display of tabs, menu options, and electronic bedboard® views. This feature is used by administrators and users who need to organize and customize their workspace for better efficiency and accessibility.

Where you can find this feature: Console Settings window.

How Custom Views Work

Functionality

Custom Views enable users to rename, reorder, show/hide, and freeze columns in tabs, menu options, and electronic bedboard® views.

Areas within the console you can update:

  • Electronic Bedboard

  • Custom Views

  • Notification Settings

  • Console Settings

  • Units

  • Advanced Filters

  • View Options

If you make any changes, you will get a reminder that you need to save your console to ensure the changes permanently save.

It is possible to customize the following console aspects:

  • Number of placement list views visible on tabs and through the Custom Views icon.

  • For each type of list view:

    • Column selection and layout

    • Names displayed on tabs and in the Custom Views icon menu

    • Advance filter settings

    • Column sorting and sort order

  • Electronic bedboard® view settings

  • Notifications for list views (Capacity IQ® Preadmit only)

  • Projected census options (Capacity IQ® Preadmit only)

Changing Names: In the Console Settings window, type a name in the Name column for each tab, Custom Views icon menu option, and electronic bedboard® view.

Example: For Tab 1, type "My Placements". For Custom View 1, type "Other Placements". For Bedboard 1, type "My Bedboard".

Changing Order: Click the up or down arrow in the Order column next to a name to move it up or down one row. Repeat until the name is in the desired position.

Hiding/Showing: To show an item, ensure "Enabled" appears. To hide an item, click "Enabled" to change it to "Disabled".

Saving Changes: Click "Apply" to save and apply changes. To save settings permanently, use the Load/Save Console feature.

Freezing Columns: Select the number of columns (1-4) to freeze in the Freeze Columns column. This feature is not available on tablet computers.

You must have the Change Console Settings permission to configure Custom Views.
