Comments
Comments are notes entered in the Comments box on the Patient Placement/Details form or in the Comments column of a list view for a patient. These comments are used by healthcare professionals to document and communicate important information about the patient's placement and details. This feature is used whenever there is a need to add, view, or edit comments related to a patient.

How Comments Work
Functionality
To view all the text in the Comments box, click the comments to display the Comments dialog box. To edit or add comments, click the comments or the silver or blue plain button to display the Comments dialog box, type changes, and then click Save. You must have the Maintain Patient/Placement Details permission with Edit rights to add or change text.
Permission Required
View Rights: Allows access to view the Patient/Placement Details form but not make changes unless specific permissions are granted for individual items.
Edit Rights: Allows access to the Patient/Placement Details form and the ability to make changes. Specific permissions are required for certain changes, such as editing the patient name or associated physicians.
Create New PreAdmits: Allows the creation of new preadmit records. This permission is required in both the Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application and the Patient Tracking Portal.
Workflows
To Edit Comments from the Patient/Placement Details Form:
Access the Patient/Placement Details form.
In the Comments box, add or edit the text.
Click Save or Save and Close.
To Edit Comments from a List View:
Display the patient's name in the list view by:
Searching for the patient.
Clicking a placement tab.
Navigating to Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application > List Views > [placement list view name] and filtering the list.
Navigating to Clinical Operations > Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application > [placement tab name] and filtering the list.
If configured for multiple instances, navigating to Clinical Operations > Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application > [Instance Name] > [placement tab name] and filtering the list.
In the Comments column, click the current text or click the -- to display the Comments dialog box.
Type or edit text.
Click Save.
Filtering Instructions:
Go to the relevant list view or placement tab.
Use the search bar or filters to narrow down the list of patients.
Apply filters such as patient name, placement status, or other relevant criteria to find the specific patient.
Once the patient is located, proceed with editing the comments as described above.
