Caregiver History

Caregiver History (CH) allows users with the appropriate permissions to view the history of staff assignments for a patient during their current visit. This feature is used by users with the Access Staff Assignment History permission to track and review the staff members who have cared for a patient during their current visit.

Where you can find this feature: In the CH column of list views that include patient rows.

How Caregiver History Works

Functionality

Caregiver History displays the following details for each staff assignment:

  • Assigned Start: Date and time the staff member began caring for the patient, in the campus time zone and format set in the Admin Tool or Admin > Settings > Capacity Management component.

  • Assigned End: Date and time the staff member ended care for the patient, in the campus time zone and format set in the Admin Tool or Admin > Settings > Capacity Management component.

  • Staff Member and Position: Name and type (e.g., nurse, assistant) of the staff member.

  • Unit: The unit where the staff member was assigned.

  • Location: The location or bed assigned to the patient and staff member.

Note: Staff members do not appear in the history if they were assigned while the patient was targeted to the unit but not yet occupying a bed.
