Purpose
The Caregiver/Clinician Rounding Report displays instances where badged patients and badged staff members responsible for patient rounding duties were in the patient's home location and for how long. The report provides insights into the frequency and duration of patient-staff interactions, which can be useful for:
Researching patient care trends.
Determining the time staff members spend with patients (e.g., assisting with meals).
Analyzing staff-patient interaction costs.
This report is available only if the Capacity Management Suite® solution is fully integrated with the TeleTracking Real-Time Locating System™.
Note
See About the Report Data for restrictions on the information that appears on the report.
Report Parameters
Criteria selected when the report was generated appear under Report Parameters. An example is the name of the selected campus.
About the Report Data
Interaction Definition: An interaction occurs when a staff member and a patient are in the same location.
Time Range Filtering:
Only interactions within the selected date and time range appear.
If the report includes a specific time period (e.g., 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM), only interactions within that time frame are included.
If a time range extends into the next day, that portion is included in the report.
Example: If the date range ends on May 5 and the time range is 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM, interactions from midnight to 1:00 AM on May 6 will be included.
Maximum Date Range: The selected date range cannot exceed 30 days.
Location Filtering:
Only interactions within the selected campus are included.
If specific units are selected, only interactions within those units appear.
Only interactions in occupied patient home locations are included.
Staff Filtering:
Only interactions involving badged staff members with the Include in Rounding Calculation setting enabled are included.
The report can be grouped by patients, units, or staff members.
The report can be filtered by specific staff types (e.g., RN, nursing assistant). Only staff types with Include in Rounding Calculation enabled can be selected.
Short Interactions:
Some interactions are brief (e.g., a staff member delivering an item). The report generator may choose to exclude interactions below a set duration (e.g., less than 10 seconds).
