Administrators use the Capacity Management Administration page to manage and customize settings across Capacity IQ® applications. Administrators can configure users, parameters, data, structures, and other settings on the Capacity Management Administration page depending on their assigned permissions. The Capacity Management Administration page is used during setup, updates, or maintenance of Capacity IQ® configurations.

The Capacity Management Administration page can be accessed from: Admin > Settings > Capacity Management.

How the Capacity Management Administration Page Works

Functionality

  • The Capacity Management Administration page provides groups of links to various settings, enabling administrators to easily manage functionality across all Capacity IQ® applications.

    • The links on the page are grouped into the following sections: Enterprise Management, Logical Structures, User Management, Milestone Setup, Care Progression Groups, Alert Management, RTLS, and Miscellaneous.

  • Administrators with the appropriate permissions can perform the following tasks on the Capacity Management Administration page

    • Enterprise Settings

      • Edit enterprise details, including name, logo, abbreviation, and website address.

      • Add a campus.

    • Badging

      • Patient Badging

      • Staff Badging

    • Units and Locations

      • Add/Edit Units

        • Associate Units with Rooms

        • Configure Unit Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application settings

        • Set Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application unit attributes

      • Add/Edit Clusters

        • Add Units to Clusters

      • Add/Edit/Copy Locations

        • Add Cost Centers

        • Associate Bed Attributes with Locations

        • Configure Bed Settings for Locations

        • Configure Transport Settings for Locations

      • Associate Room with Unit
