How Capacity IQ® Multi-Instance Works

Multi-Instance allows the IQ® platform to integrate with multiple Capacity IQ® instances. This feature is used by centralized Transfer Centers to request beds across various Capacity IQ® enterprises.

How Multi-Instance Works

Functionality

The IQ® platform can now integrate with more than one Capacity IQ® instance, enabling centralized Transfer Centers to request beds in multiple enterprises.

IQ Platform Settings

  • Enter the Capacity IQ® URL of each Capacity IQ® instance in the IQ Admin tool under Settings<Platform Settings.

  • The name provided for each instance should match the Capacity IQ® enterprise name for organizational purposes.

User setup

  • Each Capacity IQ® user must be assigned to a Capacity IQ® instance to access it.

  • Users can be assigned to multiple Capacity IQ® instances via the IQ Admin Tool - Users.

    • Note: Auto provisioning differs in multi-instance environments. Users are not provisioned shell accounts in Capacity IQ® until assigned an instance in the admin tool.

Workflows

Patient Search and Create Cases

  1. Begin by looking at the Patient Details.

  2. Enter the information in the appropriate fields.

    • Note: After entering the patient's social security number (SSN) and clicking outside the field, only the last four digits will be visible. To edit a previously entered SSN, the field becomes blank when typing, and the entire number must be re-entered.

Existing Patients

  1. Enter the information in the appropriate fields.

    • The SSN field will display the last four digits of the patient's SSN. If no SSN is entered, the field is blank.

    • Note: Columns with search fields below the headings can be filtered. Type the filter criteria in the search field to refresh results matching the text.
