Daily Transfers Report Description

Permission Required

The Run Any Reports, Including Those that Reveal Patient Information permission is required to generate this report.

Purpose

The Daily Transfers report displays details about completed and/or cancelled patient transfers by origin unit or by destination unit for a single date.

Report Parameters

Criteria selected when the report was being generated appear under Report Parameters. An example is the name of the campus selected when the report was generated.

About the Report Data

  • Only units associated with the campus that was selected when the report was generated appear.

  • The user who generates the report can select to include only transfers associated with specific origin and destination units that are within the selected campus. If no specific units are selected, all transfers associated all origin and destination units within the selected campus will be included.

  • The user who generates the report can choose to include cancelled transfers, completed transfers, or both.

  • The user who generates the report can group data by each transfer's origin unit or destination unit.

Description

The following information is displayed on the report for each origin unit or destination unit displayed.

Name

Description

Completed and Canceled

The number of completed and canceled transfers for each unit for the selected date.

Destination or Origin

The destination unit or origin unit associated with the transfers (depending on whether destination unit or origin unit was selected when the report was generated).

Patient

Patient's last and first name.

Patient Type

The patient type associated with the patient.

Admit Type

The admit type associated with the patient.

Service

The hospital service associated with the patient.

Sex

Patient's gender.

Age

Patient's age.

Orig. Unit or Dest. Unit

If data is grouped by origin unit, then the destination unit associated with the transfer appears. If data is grouped by destination unit, then the origin unit appears.

Orig. Bed

The bed from which the patient was or (if transfer was cancelled) was to be transferred.

Dest. Bed

The bed to which the patient was or (if transfer was cancelled) was to be transferred.

Trans. Time

Time that the transfer was completed or cancelled.

Admitting Physician

The admitting physician associated with the patient.

Overall Totals

The number of completed and canceled transfers for all units displayed on the report for the selected date.
