To address slow search performance, the physician search functionality in TCIQ has been enhanced when searching for a Referring or Target Physician. This update improves overall system responsiveness and provides faster, more efficient search results.
Previously, the search query evaluated both name prefixes and suffixes (such as first and last names), which could result in longer response times—sometimes up to 30 seconds.
For example, if a user typed ‘Callan’ to search, the results showed this previously:
With this enhancement, search results are now returned using a pattern prefix match only (for example, last name). Physicians will display when their name begins with the entered search criteria, significantly improving search speed and system responsiveness.
Now, searching ‘Callan’ provides only results on the last name starting with these letters:
