Physician Search Query Update

  • To address slow search performance, the physician search functionality in TCIQ has been enhanced when searching for a Referring or Target Physician. This update improves overall system responsiveness and provides faster, more efficient search results.

  • Previously, the search query evaluated both name prefixes and suffixes (such as first and last names), which could result in longer response times—sometimes up to 30 seconds.

  • For example, if a user typed ‘Callan’ to search, the results showed this previously:

  • With this enhancement, search results are now returned using a pattern prefix match only (for example, last name). Physicians will display when their name begins with the entered search criteria, significantly improving search speed and system responsiveness.

  • Now, searching ‘Callan’ provides only results on the last name starting with these letters:
