Notification Group
Definition
A notification group is a collection of users who can be selected at one time to receive an instant message, a milestone instant message, or a Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application placement notification.
If a notification group includes users who do not have the Receive Placement Pages permission, placement-based notifications will not be sent to those users.
To receive messages, users in the group either must be signed in and have Alpha paging devices or must have selected Email or Screen Alert as their notification delivery methods on the My Notifications tab.
Scope
An administrator creates a notification group in the Dictionary Management section of the Admin Tool or Admin > Settings > Capacity Management component and associates users with it.
