About Ready to Move

  • After all the requirements to prepare a patient to be moved to a bed have been met, you can indicate that the patient can be moved by marking the patient "ready to move."

    • Usually, someone from the unit that is sending the patient to a bed marks the patient ready to move.

  • You can indicate that a patient:

    • Is ready to move right now, or will be ready to move at a future time.

  • Ready to move is also referred to as RTM.

Projected Ready to Move

  • You can only select a future time if the Master Configuration setting called Use Projected RTM is enabled

    • The Default value during the new install is Disabled.

    • If upgrading the feature setting will not change from the existing status.

  • The projected Ready to Move setting determines whether the Projected RTM feature appears on the application list views. This feature indicates that a patient is ready to move right now or will be ready to move at a future time.

  • A TeleTracking Technologies representative can help your organization to enable this setting. For example, if you know that all the requirements that must be met to move the patient have not been met right now, but will be in 30 minutes, you can indicate that the patient will be ready to move in 30 minutes.

Options

  • Disabled: Staff can indicate that the patient is ready to move right now.

    • Clicking the - - populates the RTM@ field with the current time.

  • Enabled: A staff member can indicate an estimate of when the patient will be ready to move in the future. When the Projected RTM feature is enabled, an arrow appears next to the RTM@ field.

No Longer Ready to Move

  • If a patient should no longer be marked ready to move, you can click the time shown in the RTM@ field or select Cancel from the RTM@ list on a placement or patient search list view to mark the patient not ready to move.

Before You Mark the Patient Ready to Move

  • The patient's placement status must be Requested or Assigned.

  • If the RTM@ field on the Placement List view or Patient Search List view displays a "--", then a Ready-to-Move time has not been selected. If a time appears instead, then the patient was marked Ready to Move for that time. You can change the time.

How to Mark a Patient Ready and Not Ready to Move:

Click a placement tab or go to the Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application > List Views > <placement list view name>, or go to Clinical Operations > Capacity IQ® PreAdmit application > If your health system is configured for multiple instances of Capacity IQ®, select the instance name > <placement list view tab> to display a list of patients, and then filter the list to display the patient you want to mark.
