The Patient admitted to the wrong location. Either Blank ADT fields or ADT ID fields with invalid information can cause this issue.


Solution

Check the ADT ID for the location they should be going to and validate it with the HL7 message

Possible Scenario:

  1. The Patient comes across with Outpatient or PreAdmit Transaction (A04 A05 etc.)

  2. The Patient has a valid PV1,39 field which determines what Campus it should go to.

  3. The Patient has a blank PV1,3 field.

  4. ttt_incominglocalcustom has no rules in that would have this location pop up.

  5. The Patient's Current Location Populates with a random location that is not part of where they are going.

  6. Check out the location to make sure it has Valid ADT fields. If the Facility Match on PV1,39 and there are blank fields in the location, it will match unless there is Custom Logic in place.

  7. In order to rectify that, an ADT ID should be put in for all locations so that it can match correctly.
