About

You might run into an instance where a user can log in to the Capacity IQ® or Capacity Management Suite® application with no problems. They can also view all tabs including BedTracking. However, if they click in BedTracking it may give a message stating that they are not authorized to view this page. This error means they do not have the correct permissions setup with their account.

Checklist

First, before dive down into which permissions are enabled we must check the role of the users account.

To do that, do the following steps:

  1. User Management.

  2. Find User.

  3. View the role in the top right section of their account.

Now that you have the role, I recommend noting it or jotting it down somewhere. You are going to want to go into the Roles portion of User Management and find that Role. Once you find the role click on it and see if BedTracking is enabled or green. If it is not enabled you will need to enable it and assign a Bedtracking permission group to it. If it is enabled, there is an issue with the current permissions of the group assigned to that role.

Steps to replicate above:

  1. User management.

  2. Click on Roles. Find the role in the selected list. *NOTE* Roles are not specific to one site. They are dynamic.

  3. Click into the role and view the current permissions setup with that role.

  4. If it is not enabled and needs to be, simply just click it. The Same goes for the other way around.

Moving forward, if the BedTracking option is enabled or green and they still cannot achieve access we are going to want to dive into their group permissions. Grab the group that you had viewed associated with the BedTracking option and search it in the groups. Once you find that specific group you are going to want to check and see if the following settings are enabled. These settings are mandatory when trying to access the full functionality of the BedTracking Application.

  1. Access Bed Dashboard.

  2. Access All Beds List View.

  3. Access Occupied Beds List View.

  4. Access Employee Dashboard.

Once these are selected, please click save at the top right of the screen to save the changes. Be aware that anyone else that has this group assigned to them, will have these changes for themselves as well. Once the changes are made, have the user log out and log back in and verify if they can use BedTracking with full operation.
