Prevent Method
Prevent Methods and Prevent Times work together for each location (bed) to prevent an unnecessary duplicate cleaning job for the same bed. This feature is used by administrators to manage bed statuses and ensure efficient cleaning operations. It is used when configuring bed status settings in the system.
Where you can find this feature: Admin Tool > Unit/Zone/Location Management or Admin > Settings > Capacity Management.
How Prevent Methods Work
Functionality
Prevent Methods allow you to select whether or when a bed that has been cleaned can be marked Dirty again through the following sources:
Telephone (IVR)
BedTracking application (Console user interface)
ADT system (ADT interface)
For each source, you can select one of the following options:
Timer: The clean bed can be marked Dirty again through this source after the number of minutes specified in the Prevent Time box for this bed (e.g., 240 minutes).
Never: Never prevent a clean bed from being marked Dirty again through this source, regardless of the prevent time specified for the bed.
Always: Always prevent a clean bed from being marked Dirty again through this source, regardless of the prevent time specified for the bed.
Important Note: If you change prevent method settings for the IVR, you must restart the CTI32 service.
Workflows
To select prevent methods:
In the Prevent Method section, for each source listed (Telephone, ADT Interface, or Console User Interface), select Timer, Never, or Always.
