Patient Tracking and Audit
This documentation is intended for healthcare professionals who need to track and audit patient information. It is used to ensure accurate patient data management and compliance with internal and external regulations. This feature is essential for auditing patient activities, tracking patient status, and managing pre-admission and admission processes.

How Patient Tracking and Audit Works
Functionality
Patient Audit Report
Purpose: To provide comprehensive details associated with a particular patient, including manual and interface team actions.
Steps:
Click on Standard Reports.
Scroll down to the HIPAA section and select the Patient Audit report.
Select the appropriate fields and click Run Report.
Choose the Production database for data within 7 days or Archive for data older than 7 days.
Review the report for specific times or actions associated with the patient.
PatientTracking Portal
Purpose: To view patient information once they are admitted.
Steps:
Click on Patient Search.
Perform a search using multiple criteria.
If the patient is admitted, they should appear on this page after the search.
If the patient does not appear, it may be due to lack of permissions. Contact your supervisor or internal helpdesk to elevate permissions.
PreAdmitTracking
Purpose: To view patient information once they are pre-admitted.
Steps:
Click on Patient Search.
Perform a search using multiple criteria.
If the patient is pre-admitted, they should appear on this page after the search.
If the patient does not appear, it may be due to lack of permissions. Contact your supervisor or internal helpdesk to elevate permissions.
Workflows
Running a Patient Audit Report
Navigate to Standard Reports.
Scroll to the HIPAA section and select Patient Audit report.
Choose the necessary fields and click Run Report.
Select Production for recent data (within 7 days) or Archive for older data.
Review the generated report for patient-specific details.
Using the PatientTracking Portal
Access the PatientTracking Portal.
Click on Patient Search.
Enter search criteria and execute the search.
Review the results for the admitted patient.
If the patient is not found, request permission elevation from your supervisor or helpdesk.
Using PreAdmitTracking
Access the PreAdmitTracking page.
Click on Patient Search.
Enter search criteria and execute the search.
Review the results for the pre-admitted patient.
If the patient is not found, request permission elevation from your supervisor or helpdesk.
