Notify New Report Description

Permissions Required

You must have one of the following permissions to generate this report:

  • Run Any Reports, Including Those That Reveal Patient Information

  • Run Only Reports That Do Not Reveal Patient Information

Purpose

If an employee (bed cleaner) has already been assigned to a bed or spill cleaning job, a supervisor can use the Notify New feature to ask a different bed cleaner to work on that job instead. This is called a Notify New request. The Notify New request removes the original bed cleaner from the job and assigns it to the bed cleaner who was notified.

The Notify New Report lists Notify New requests that have been placed within the date range selected and for the shifts selected when the report was generated. The first section displays Notify New requests for each supervisor. The data includes the bed associated with the job, when the original request to clean the bed or spill was made, the status of the bed at the time that the supervisor submitted the Notify New request, the employee who was originally assigned to the job, the other employee who was notified to work on the job, and the time that the Notify New request was submitted.

The second section of the report, the Supervisor Summary, shows the number of Notify New requests that each supervisor submitted.

The third section, the Employee Summary, displays the 1) number of times that each employee was removed from a job because a Notify New request was sent to another employee and 2) the number of times that each employee was assigned to a job as a result of a Notify New request.

Note: See About the Report Data for restrictions concerning users and beds that appear on the report.

Report Parameters

Criteria selected when the report was being generated appear under Report Parameters. An example is the name of the campus selected when the report was generated.

About the Report Data

  • Only beds in units that are within the membership of the user who generated the report appear.

  • The report displays only Notify New requests that occurred between the dates selected and during the shifts selected on the Report Criteria page. However, if a shift starts on the end date of the report date range and ends on the next day, data from the entire shift will be included on the report. For example, if the end date of the report is September 2, 2012 and a shift started at 11:00 PM on September 2 and ended at 7:00 AM on September 3, then data from the entire shift, including the part on September 3, will be on the report.

  • Employees, supervisors, or requesters are included on the report only if their base unit is in a campus that has clusters or units within the membership of the user who generated the report or if their base unit is the same base unit of the user who generated the report. For example, if the Main Campus is selected when the report is generated, the employee Chris Smith's base unit is in the main campus, and the user who generated the report has membership to the Main Campus, then data for Chris Smith appears on the report.

  • The report displays only supervisors associated with the cost centers selected on the Report Criteria page.

  • If no specific supervisors were selected on the Report Criteria page, then all supervisors who meet the criteria noted in the previous bullets appear on the report.

Notify New Report Column Descriptions
